Tales of Lusionia
Boots of the Strider
Boots of Striding and Springing
While you wear these boots, your walking speed becomes 30 feet, unless your walking speed is higher, and your speed isn’t reduced if you are encumbered or wearing heavy armor. In addition, you can jump three times the normal distance, though you can’t jump father than you remaining movement would allow.
Developed by a Goliath named Keothi, the actual reasoning behind these boots has been lost to time. It appears that these boots were created to help with the carrying of impressive loads by the timberworkers of the great north. These proved an impressive asset in dealing with the large structures, weapons, and loot found in the strongholds of the Giants of the north, which the Goliaths often battle.
There are very few pairs of such boots known to exist, but those who are able to find them generally never remove them again except to bathe.
Vorlos found a pair of these boots on a member of the Cult of the Dragon, with a strange “V” symbol found on the back of each one, hand-stitched.
